50 Girlcrushes of 2013: Gillian Anderson
It’s hard to believe it’s been twenty years since Gillian Anderson first came into my life. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been yelling “SCULLLLLY” for twenty years in public places and I haven’t gotten arrested yet. Even harder to believe is that Gillian Anderson seems to be getting more attractive as the years role on. Is she de-aging? Is she a Time Lord? I think I’d like to open an X-File on this subject. Dana Scully is still one of the best characters to ever happen to television and certainly one of the best to happen to my life. This year, Gillian came back to television in America as Dr. Lecter’s psychiatrist and I still don’t quite know what to make of her. We should be suspicious of anyone Hannibal calls a friends. She was also dealing with a creepy serial killer and trying to capture him in the U.K. import The Fall. Gillian Anderson in law enforcement makes for perfect television. If only we can have one more X-Files movie, my heart would be content.

The X-Files PaleyFest and NYCC Panels: A Summary
“We are somehow joined, at some significant level, for ever, for as long as we are alive, not just in the public’s mind but our own.” — David Duchovny
❝I think we’ve become more friendly as time has gone by. We went through something quite profound together and there’s only one other person who has had that experience, which is me.❞
Moderator: The clip David chose to show was the one where Mulder and Scully dance together. [To David] Let me ask you why you chose that particular clip.
David Duchovny: …To me, I think it’s a good final image. If there is ever a final image, I think that would be it.
